IMMT is Affiliated with two Universities.
1. HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar
Garhwal University (renamed after Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 1989), established in 1973, is situated at Srinagar. The University has its Administrative Office at Srinagar, jurisdiction complete garhwal region. It was made a Central University in 2009 by the Central Universities Act, 2009. Srinagar is located at 30.22°N 78.78°E. at the left bank of Alaknanda river. It has an average elevation of 560 metres (1,837 feet). It is the widest valley in the Garhwal hills.
2. Sri Dev Suman University, Tehri
Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Badshahi Thaul is situated on the way between Chamba and New Tehri at a distance of 3 km from Chamba, one of the brightest spots of district Tehri Garhwal, at an elevation of 1676 m from sea level. This town, situated on Delhi-Gangotri national highway, offers one of the most spectacular view of snow capped Himalaya and enchanting Bhagirathi Valley. It is at a distance of 8 km from New Tehri, a newly established master-planned township at an elevation of 1900 m and district headquarter of Tehri Garhwal.
